She faces towards her darkness
It needs a hug too
Embracing each side of herself
The balance
The pain
….it's hard to look at
Touching some sad sonnet never attended to
Touching a place that dares to swallow her whole,
Just long enough - only what she can bear
She has learned not to get lost there
A chance to still recover
the light lost within
Through every numbing agent
she still feels the pieces unseen
a little more perhaps, to make it bearable
But only in facing that unspeakable anguish,
would she ever let the light back out
One choice unto the following
The release of some good serotonin sunshine
The integration of such hard lessons learned
There will never be enough tears;
so just let the eyes stay dry this time
If she could see in that light-less place,
All her wholeness would return to her,
Like a muscle car in full vroom!
Or perhaps just the gentleness of the forest would be enough
